ARIA's new telemetry
receive subsystem includes Microdyne 700-MR receivers and 1620-PC combiners. The 700-MR is
capable of receiving P-Band, L-Band, S-Band, and extended S-Band. Both the 700-MR and
1620-PC are remotely controlled via the provided IEEE-488 interface.
Combined data/tracking receivers down convert and
demodulate a supported vehicle's telemetry signals. Ancillary equipment is used for
calibration, subsystem interface, and data transfer operations. The telemetry subsystem is
compatible with Inter-Range Instrumentation Group (IRIG) standards and is adaptable to
specialized signal formats and frequencies. The telemetry subsystem has two major
functional divisions - the telemetry control group and the RF group.
