For over 30 years the
Advanced Range Instrumentation Aircraft - ARIA, has been tracking,
recording and relaying telemetry from Apollo missions and the space
shuttle to ballistic missiles. The ARIA program came to a close August
24, 2001 as the EC-18 aircraft, tail number 81-0891, touched down after its final mission at
Edwards AFB.
The ARIA program has come to a close but ARIA will always be in our
hearts. The good times and the sad times. Rejoicing in the friends we
met along the way and mourning of our friends who lives were lost
serving their God and Country.
It has been a great adventure . . .
